Sporting Club de Bastia

Football team founded in 1905
National 3

Presentation

The adventure between Oscaro and the Sporting Club de Bastia started in 2010. Relegated to the French Third Division at the end of the 2009/2010, threatened by a administrative relegation to the amateur championship because of financial trouble, the team was plunging towards darkness.

The project is simple: helping a popular team that is inseparable from French football to get back to the top flight as quickly as possible.
On May 7th 2013, SC Bastia wins the Third Division title thanks to a win against Créteil. At the final whistle, the pitch at the Stade Armand Cesari is invaded by elated supporters happy to celebrate this title with their players and their coach Frédéric Hantz. Dominating the championship, unbeaten at home, the club finishes the season with a record score of 91 points. A year later, SC Bastia goes one higher and becomes Ligue 2 champion. Still unbeaten at home, the club is ready for Ligue 1. With Oscaro by their side, SC Bastia is more than ever anchored in Ligue 1.

With a 2014/2015 season under the lead of a new coach, the club took prestigious victories, be it against Paris Saint-Germain (4-2) or against AS Saint-Etienne (1-0). Add to this a incredible journey in the League Cup. After a hard-fought victory won on penalties against Monaco, the adventure finishes at the Stade de France, against Paris Saint-Germain. Finishing on a scandalous defeat, the SCB can be proud of it's journey to the final and the fans that came in large numbers. Over 30 000 Corsicans made the trip to the Stade de France to encourage their team. Proof of the fervour generated by the Sporting Club de Bastia. In 2017, it is a new disillusion for the SCB. Relegated to Ligue 2 and then administratively to National 3 (French 5th Division). The club can always count on the unconditional support of Oscaro to get back to the top as quickly as possible. What doesn't kill us makes us stronger.
